Nicaragua for 72 hours

Tom, Ilan, and Ronald in the mob of students who received Educational Packages

SchoolBOX was happy for Ilan to have joined us in Nicaragua for the last 3 days.  It was a fast and furious 72 hours for Mr. Levy, as he joined Shirley’s Superninjas in Monte Olivo to see first hand the construction of the Shirley Case School.

There are just too many things to list, but the highlights of Ilan’s journey are as follows:

  • Handing out educational packages to over 200 students at 2 schools in Managua
  • Seeing an active volcano acting up
  • Meeting the community of Monte Olivo
  • Getting a personal tour of Monte Olivo from Engel and his little brother
  • Enjoying a home cooked Nicaraguan meal for lunch.

Although his trip was quick, the community realised the impact of the Cycle 4 SchoolBOX.  They were quite amazed at his endeavour, and wished him well.
